(Covina) – 24 teams will be participating in the Charter Oak passing tournament Saturday May 16. Some are local while others will be traveling from places far far away. Here’s how they stack up.

Tartans Turn the Tables on Chargers

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Glendora overcame  an 11 point deficit in the fourth quarter to knock off Charter Oak 38-37 Thursday night in a Central Division clash. The Chargers seemed to be in control but inexplicably turned the ball over on each of its last two possessions and the Tartans took advantage to win it.

Roddy Layton Resigns at Diamond Ranch

Diamond Ranch HC Roddy Layton stepped down Friday afternoon after an eight year run. The Panthers are coming off a 9-2 season that ended with a first round loss in the CIF Southeast playoffs to Santa Fe 31-28.
