Vikings Wear Down Bassett
(La Puente) - Jose “Nacho” Zamora (120) and Chris Cervantes (129) combined for 249 yards on the ground as Mt. View rumbled past Bassett 28-21 Friday night to improve to 2-0.

SGV Shootout Champions – West Covina Bulldogs
(El Monte) – West Covina beat Northview 30-18 to win the SGV Shootout at Arroyo Saturday. The Bulldogs, not traditionally a passing team, knocked off Monrovia in the semi finals before dispatching of Northview. Monrovia beat Whittier Christian in the consolation game.
