Tartans in San Dimas Tournament Semi’s

  (San Dimas) –  For the second consecutive, Taylor Langdon showcased why the senior pitcher is headed to Division 1 Fresno State with another complete win as Glendora locked down Pool A of the San Dimas Softball tournament with a 4-2 victory over Northview.

Amazing how the end of the season is just two weeks from ending with many tight playoff races still in the balance. Some games will have major consequences on league titles and whether teams get into postseason play.

High School Softball Area Top 25

Bonita takes over the top spot by going undefeated in the Charter Oak tournament. Lots of good softball played this week, which will be highlighted on Monday’s “In the Circle” column. Some new teams enter the rankings while the top-five spots jumble with the biggest riser being Bishop Amat.

Bearcats Muscle Their Way to Finals

(West Covina) – Bonita rolled into the finals of the Charter Oak Charger Classic at Big League Dreams with a 13-3 win over Northview in the semi-finals. Every Bearcat batter registered a hit with Courtney Gano, Corinna Liscano, and Michelle Whit each hitting a homerun.

Congratulations to Crescenta Valley and Glendora on winning its perspective tournaments in the area. Want to see some good softball, the Charter Oak Classic and Arroyo Tournament should provide some fun during the week. Good area schools will be in both.

High School Softball Top 25

Great week of tournaments with a new #1 this week after Glendora went 4-0. Crescenta Valley looks to have returned to its dominance after steam-rolling through the Duarte Classic. The toughest week goes to Bonita which played nine games in seven days. This week the Charter Oak and Arroyo tournaments take center-stage.

Tartans Take San Dimas Classic

(San Dimas) – Glendora took the San Dimas Classic Championship by scoring four runs in two innings enroute to an 8-3 win over Northview Saturday. The Tartans took advantage of a great hitting performance from first baseman Taylor Langdon to catapult it to the title.
