Upland Beats Culver City to Win Air Assault
By Tim Peterson (La Verne) – Upland beat Culver City 30-26 Saturday to win the Bonita Air Assault. Upland knocked off Valencia in the semi finals while Culver City beat Rancho Cucamonga. Calabasas beat Glendora 26-12 to win the Consolation championship.
Paraclete Prevails at Bonita Air Assault
By Tim Peterson (La Verne) – Paraclete, not a team that is traditionally known for throwing the ball, won the Bonita Air Assault Saturday knocking off Valencia in six overtimes in the championship game. The Spirits also beat Cathedral along the way to get to the final game.

Would it be a stretch to say Arcadia in the Pacific? The league is in flux. Burbank and Crescenta Valley have lost a lot of players to graduation, as did Pasadena. The Bulldogs have Brandon Cox, the best quarterback in the league, but does he have enough around him?
Just Passing Through CV
(Crescenta Valley) – We took a drive down the 210 freeway Saturday to check out the passing tournament at Crescenta Valley. CV hosted Pacific League teams Arcadia, Burroughs and Hoover. Other schools participating included Hart, Saugus, Valencia, Eagle Rock, LA Wilson, Verdugo and LA Marshall.
