Huskies Fall Short

(Covina) – The first game of the season for South Hills showed glimpses of a bright future led by Jamel Hart and Vince Hernandez which nearly upset Colony. The Titans survived 30-29. After methodically draining time with Hart running the ball, the Huskies needed a furious final drive with less than a minute remaining.

Huskies’ Shirley Probable for Crescenta Valley

South Hills’ quarterback Jacob Shirley, who missed the first round playoff win over Bonita with an injury, is expected to play Friday night against Crescenta Valley. Shirley, who has been instrumental in the Huskies’ San Antonio League title, sprained his MCL in practice the week of the playoff game.
