High School Softball Top 20

With winter heading into hibernation and daylight savings time a week away, that means only one thing. Softball is barreling down on the high school scene with more questions than answers heading into the 2012 season.

All-Mid Valley team will be announced on Thursday afternoon. The players to watch list will follow the same day. With the season almost over, look for the final weekly version of the column to be next Monday. After that it will be a monthly column until after football season.

Lady Knights 3-Run Fifth Enough to Advance (See interviews)

(El Monte) – Arroyo exploded for three runs in the fifth to advance to the quarterfinals of the CIF-SS Division 5 playoffs with a 3-1 win over San Marino. Jaclyn Wagner pitched seven strong innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out 10 Titans enroute to her 15th win of the season.
