Knights Clinch Crown in Final Game

(Rosemead) – Arroyo jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and then held the rest of the way in a 4-1 win over Rosemead Friday. With the victory, the Knights clinched the Mission Valley League title.

Gabrielino 6 El Monte 1 The Eagles scored five in the fourth to break a 1-1 tie. Johnny Moreno had three hits and two RBIs and Angel Acosta struck out 12 in the complete game victory.

Rosemead Rally Beats Lions

(Rosemead) – Rosemead scored two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to erase a four run deficit and beat El Monte 5-4 Friday in Mission Valley League action.
