(Monrovia) – The West All Stars for the 2011 Hall of Fame Game were busy practicing Wednesday afternoon for the battle Friday night against the East at West Covina High School.

(Rosemead) – Arroyo jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and then held the rest of the way in a 4-1 win over Rosemead Friday. With the victory, the Knights clinched the Mission Valley League title.

(El Monte) – Tony Davalos fired a complete game and Arroyo got all the runs it needed in the first inning in a 2-1 win over Gabrielino Friday in a key Mission Valley League contest.

Acosta Zeros in on Knights

(El Monte) – Angel Acosta wobbled but did not fall. He bent but never broke. He escaped more tight spots than Houdini and in the end he threw a complete game shutout to lead Gabrielino to a 1-0 win over Arroyo in Mission Valley League action Monday.
