Gordon Gets Game Winner for Galaxy
By Tim Peterson (Carson) – Alan Gordon headed in the game winner in stoppage time to give the LA Galaxy a 1-0 win over Houston Friday night before 20,195 at Stub Hub Center. Gordon didn’t enter the game until the 69th minute but he had the biggest impact of the match.

By Tim Peterson Monrovia 6 Whittier Christian 1 Brian McConnell and Justin Rosedale combined on a two hitter as Monrovia knocked off Whittier Christian 6-1 to advance to the second round of the CIF Division 5 Playoffs.
Rams Rout Banning in Playoff Opener
By Tim Peterson (Temple City) – Josh Speakes fired a complete game allowing just five hits and striking out five and Chris Rabine banged out three hits to lead Temple City to a 12-0 shutout of Banning Tuesday in the first round of the Division 5 CIF Playoffs.
