    Couldn’t have said it better. The cal coaches have some real work to do because whatever is going on isn’t working. I heard over 50 players quit wonder why? fire these coaches

    Couldn’t of said it better Cal high looks like a pop warner team with no size or skill they need to put work in the weight room if they want any chance of winning a game.

    Couldn’t have said it better. Cal coaches really need to work on it the next few years. I heard they got rid of the little coach that always yelled on the sideline. La serna needs to work on it too, especially the QB with short hair. Their new recruit (Evan Naranjo) he looks very talented can’t wait to see how la serna utilizes him

    Schurr QB looking real solid. Very smooth release and has very good accuracy and decision making. It’s pretty sad that grown men sit on their couches eating cheeto puffs while talking negative about high school athletes. I’m really digging that new transfer from La Serna. Led the del rio league in picks, should be very solid while on the field. Cal high is just a laughing stock. I would put my money on an 8th grade football team to beat them. Coaching staff is terrible as well.

    I don’t know about 19 year old seniors. That seems to be the norm all over the place though. ER staff is solid, no one else squeezes out as much from the kids they get like the ranch staff does, anyone who says otherwise is a hater or loses to ER and are bitter about it.

    El Rancho was D10 in 2022 with a team full of sophomores, but was D7 borderline D6 in 2021 with a 9-2 record. Independent of divisions ER has a very strong coaching staff, one of the best offenses around year after year, if you’re a QB you can expect 2500 yards 30 TDs, if you’re a top WR you can expect 1000 yards and 15-20 TD’s in that offense. ER QB’s routinely earn All-CIF and All-Area accolades, they also feature one of the top defensive minds in the SGV in Ray Medina along with Greg Setlich. ER does it mainly with home grown kids, they might get a transfer or 2 every year, that is why the QB from Cal wants to go to ER, the wins, the offense, the defense, the coaching staff, the tradition.

    Why would a kid want to transfer to Shurr or El Rancho for that matter? Those schools are D10 or worse.

    All these school are pathetic. Just build your program the right way like La Serna.
    No need for transfers. Build what you have with your own kids. Coach them up.
    La Serna does it with coaching and developing players with whoever is enrolled at therre
    school. The old school way.

    The kid competed and he was better. That’s not just me saying it and I don’t have a team or player in this.
    Let your QB1 go to El Rancho let your QB2 go to Schurr they don’t want to be there. Build yourself a QB and there you go. Why be bitter? Get better! Kids have been telling other kids to come play with us forever just happens more now that they actually go.

    Schurr High School is pathetic! How can this be happening again? Someone needs to pull Ramos and send him back to the wrastling ring. He needs to put on his “ Mean Mascara ” mask and never take it off again. How can the AD be ok with this as well? I think a couple of lobotomies are in order. Taking a chance with a 17 year old boy’s eligibility is disgusting. I hope the School Board does a complete investigation. What a complete bunch of clowns over there.

    With words like “seems” and “if” shows assumption. So I think its safe to say speaking on a young man without truly knowing the facts about him and details of the situation should stop. We all know there is plenty of hear say. Lets just hope he gets his senior year and everything works out, because wishing this on a child is pretty chicken DELETED for adults to do. Not saying you in particular,but there are petty people out there. He is a good, respectful kid and hope he gets to play.

    What are they saying over there? They have pictures of him with them before the transfer? There are also El rancho, Downey and multiple other kids working out there because of their camp. I’m not a coach a Schurr or any of these other schools on here. Again multiple kids trying to leave there’s a reason. Just like your QB1 wants to go to El Rancho. Let him go and stop trying to scare them. Why make it an issue they don’t want to play for you guys. What about Sahara Fe heard they’re getting a lot of kids too. We know what happen a few years ago with Schurr. This isn’t the same.

    Ethan Workman who transferred to St. Paul is using his SOP (Sit Out Period), this is a legal move. This has nothing to do with the the coach at St. Paul or the coaches at Cal. Can’t argue a legal move. The QB at Schurr, transferred from La Serna to Cal and used his sit out period. It seems like he did not want to compete for the job at Cal and transferred to Schurr where his 7 on 7 coaches also coach. This by rule is illegal and because he has already used his SOP if found to be an illegal move he will be deemed ineligible. You can say what you wish about the Cal coaches but the coaches at Schurr should be fired if this kid loses his senior year. Lastly, this would be the secoond time withing a 7 to 8 year period where Schurr gets caught doing this.

    This whole thread is just screaming “bitter Cal high coaches”. Instead of questioning transfers, reflect on yourselves as a program as to why dang near 15-20 of your kids want to transfer or rather just not play at all if its for you.

    @Coacher,

    Was there a CIF violation for the kid who transferred to St. Paul? It looks like there was 1 for the QB. If so, then they should challenge that transfer. If you allow the rules to be broken for 1 kid, then it becomes a free for all for everyone else. Schurr should have learned their lesson years ago, but their risking kid’s eligibility for their own ego. But of course, they’ll probably blame other people. Didn’t a kid have to move out of state because of illegal recruiting?

    The Schurr QB will be eligible, you’re pushing the issue on a kid that didn’t get an opportunity at Cal because they thought they had their kid. A kid that was told he’s lucky he gets reps at passing league. But he found a program that give him a chance and you’re mad? I could tell you there wasn’t anything forcing him to transfer there. He seen what he could do with certain other kids and made the jump.

    What’s up with the kid that went to st.Paul? Nobody pushing that. Why? Because their coach is someone and cal is scared or whoever in Schurrs league that’s crying is intimidated.

    Let the kid play.

    So just curious what makes Schurr a quality program, this is what they have done in the almont recently arguably one of the weakest leagues in CIF SS, it’s obviously not the winning that’s attracting kids.

    Schurr QB will not be eligible and neither will the Whittier kid, was also told they have a La Serna transfer just show up (La Serna kid transferred from Cal to La Serna now to Schurr within a 2 month period), it will blow up in their face just like it did 5 or 6 years ago. Feel sorry for the kids, QB and the Whittier kid are seniors, they were listening to the wrong coaches!

    @Anonymous,

    I don’t have anything personal against any program. What does that have anything to do with this argument? You see, that’s the problem with high school football. It’s the adults. Instead of taking responsibility for wrong doings, the wrong doers blame it on others. How can you expect kids to follow rules when adults don’t?

    If you throw a big party that’s disturbing the peace, don’t blame the neighbor for calling the cops, blame yourself for the party getting out of control. And we wonder why we have a generation of kids who feel entitled?

    sounds like you have something personal against schurr. Take a better look at your program if your kids are leaving for what they believe is a better opportunity.

    focus on the kids who are staying loyal to your program.

    It’s the opposite buddy. The one’s knowingly breaking the rules are the people screwing kids over especially when a program already cost multiple kids eligibility before. It’s clearly outlined that undue influence is illegal by CIF. “But, but private schools” is an immature argument to make.

    Wah wah it’s funny when kids leave a program for a better opportunity coaches turn into the CIF police. The catholic school have transfer in the teens a public school has one transfer and everyone loses their S**t. Most coaches will say that they coach to help kids but trying to to screw a player because he left your program is not helping the player.
