Too quick interviews; let couple weeks pass first until assistant coaches still in playoff run have a chance. Let them focus on cif title now. Make sense? Whittier firing coach? What / did he abuse players or terrible in classroom is cause? Is coach C Ceniseros? if yes has some winning experiemce.. Other guy what has he done? not much

    Agree100%

I’ve been saying this in many different ways for the past year or more . Last year’s CO team would have beaten this years by 3 touchdowns or more , yet this years team is CIF finalist or champ????? Last. year first round exit .Why rewarded for losing season with 5 Division drop??
Let’s send a 6-8 champ to State for good measure !

Additionally where are the close games that CIF craves ????? Only one of 8 games on MVS scoreboard within 2 touchdowns

Heard from me first, Whittier coach was let go. You will also hear it here first, the two finalists for the Cal job will be Coach Winchell and Coach C (Sierra Vista) and whoever doesn’t get the Cal job will be the front runner for the Whittier job.

Once again the MVS teams are kings of the Pee Wee Divisions. Step up and get your trophies. CO and LS, reverse Peter Principle teams.

PS: Walnut is one local team that has this system figured out. After winning it all in D10 in 2022 somehow they slid to D13 in 2023 and will more than likely win it all again. Repeating anywhere other than D1 is almost impossible.

I try to look beyond the algorythms of Cal Preps to see what really is going on. It seems the current set up rewards failure and punishes progress. I give you two local teams like St Paul D8 in 2022 D4 in 2023 out fast. St Francis D5 in 2022 D3 in 2023 one and done. Covina D 10 in 2022 D8 in 2023 out early. Conversely La Serna D3 in 2022 one and done D5 in 2023 making a run. Charter Oak D3 in 2022 one and done. D8 in 2023 projected champions. That scenario pans out all over the playoffs. There ought to be a law. Up and coming teams win but not to much.
