March 5, 2024 – 7:44 p dont need to beat La Serna! But try to build slowly , one win at a time. Administration at this school , especially the last AP Activities ‘ now at Fronteir after ruining basketball program with his ” Anzaldo power junkie ” never an athlete , but played tenor sax in high school. Had to hire Ancich , who is 1% quality of brother Dusian (?? wrong spelling) who is great coach with motivational expertise. Visko dont even know how to give itty bit of inspiration to athletes. Scott was much better, not with statistics at all though, always way below .500 record. But at least Scott talked to his players . They , AP activities Anzaldo, from the very start all knew he was going hire his St Paul ” son of daddy winner’ Visko when other better winning head coaches applied
Wouldn’t have made a difference that’s a Perrenial doormat in the Del Rio, simply wouldn’t get enough players to beat the top Del Rio League teams.
You know a little but not enough to be posting. One thing Ceniceros does is always say WE and US never a ME/HIS coach. It’s all on WHS on this one. They want to stay in the gutter forever that’s on them.
Anyone of 10 La Serna assistant coaches could get the Whittier High HC job but not one applied. They know La Serna gets all the real football players in the WUHSD.

It takes 2 to tango for this to be a cluster. Yes Whittier HS is to blame. They are to blame for firing Quinsey after just 1 season and not having an answer. They are to blame for letting Ancich underachieve for many years but not having an answer for when firing him. They are to blame for letting Ceniceros control all the cards in this hiring process. A teaching job was created for him, but he didn’t like it and wanted to be catered to. He just wanted to teach the Breakfast Club class and there was no way Whittier was able to create that position for him. Whittier knew and saw this from the word go and should have parted ways before even letting it get this far.
Ceniceros is to blame for dragging along 2 programs throughout this process. Then after he turns down 1 job, he arrogantly posts all of the guys HIS system developed as a ploy to recruit more kids to Sierra Vista, a school he was ready to bail on at the word go. Lots of hubris from this coach who has changed coaching jobs as often as some coaches change pants. It wasn’t long ago that he upset that an assistant coach of his got reprimanded from El Monte so he bailed for Sierra Vista. Shame on Whittier for letting it get this far.
Yes administrators need to value good coaches so they can have a good school culture and positive athletic experience for kids, but those same coaches need to also check their egos at the door and understand it isn’t all about them.
From T. Peterson: There was not a teaching job created for Jesse Ceniceros. He was never offered a teaching job. He was basically told that he would not be hired and they were not able to get him a teaching job.
WNBA rookie salary is capped at 78,000 per year. However Clark has about 5 endorsement deals with the top companies and more to come. Her WNBA money wont pay her rent. WNBA players go overseas to play as soon as their season is done here.

Can’t guarantee any coach a full time teaching position at Whittier. They hire the OC of a team that went 2-8 & 4-6 in the last 2 years as the HC at Cal High. Preferential treatment is definitely being given to its darling LS. Screw the other ugly ducklings in the room!
