  1. The Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in overtime Tuesday night to take a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.  
  2. Former Oakland Raiders legndary center/ Hall of Famer Jim Otto, has passed away at the age of 86.
  3. San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk, is not participating in OTAs as his representatives are working on a new deal with the team. 
  4. The Dodgers acquired pitcher Yohan Ramirez from the New York Mets for cash considerations. 
  5. Vince Lobendahn has been named the new head football coach at Bellflower. 
  6. The Chicago White Sox have the worst record in baseball at 15-34. 
  7. Rams running back Kyren Williams will miss the OTAs with a “foot issue” according to head coach Sean McVay. 
  8. Former major league pitcher, Tommy John, who has a medical procedure named after him, turns 81 today. 
  9. “When they operated, I told them to put in a Koufax fastball. They did-but it was Mrs. Koufax’s.” – Tommy John. 
  10. On this day in 1990 Andre Dawson, of the Chicago Cubs, received a record five intentional walks in a game.

    With NCAA colleges finalizing deals that will pay football players directly in 2025 this will filter down to the high school systems. The Top Tier teams in California will grab up all the top players not just from the US but from Europe, Africa, Australia, Samoa, Fiji……Parents will pool their cash to send their kids to MD, SJB,Los Al,……and why not? You have a D1 talent like say at CO,Bonita, San Dimas its one and done. Show me the money!

    5) Bellflower is in a very difficult league , sure to be in bottom half . Lobendahn did credible job at Glenn 17-18 era before going to Magnolia and leaving in uproar before disappointing season ended. Hard to see this one going well given league situation
