Gabrielino Wears MVL Crown

By Corey Kwok (San Gabriel) – Gabrielino reclaimed the MVL crown by shutting out defending champion Arroyo 8-0 at home Tuesday behind two RBIs apiece from Johnny Moreno and Lorenzo Mena along with a complete game one hit shutout by Angel Acosta (his sixth of this season).

Laski Takes over at Rancho Cucamonga

By Corey Kowk (Rancho Cucamonga) – Joe Laski, who was the Head Coach of the Varsity Baseball team at Gabrielino from 2004 to 2010, has been taken over the same position at Rancho Cucamonga High, according to athletic director Sean Sullivan.

Gabrielino’s Stefan Jarrin Drafted by Dodgers in 40th Round

Stefan Jarrin, who played his high school ball at Gabrielino, and is the grandson of legendary Los Angeles Dodger Spanish announcer Jaime Jarrin, was drafted in the 40th round by the Dodgers.
