By Tim Peterson (Rosemead) – Joshua Chaidez threw a complete game allowing just one run and three hits to lead Rosemead to a 2-1 win over Gabrielino Friday in Mission Valley League action.

San Miguel’s Three-Run Bomb Lifts Rosemead
By Corey Kwok (San Gabriel) – Steven San Miguel (2 for 4, two runs, 3 RBI, HR) capped a riveting five run rally in the top of the sixth with a three run bomb over Gabrielino’s right field fence to lift Rosemead to a 9-4 victory over the Eagles Friday the Mission Valley League opener for both teams.
Gabrielino Wears MVL Crown
By Corey Kwok (San Gabriel) – Gabrielino reclaimed the MVL crown by shutting out defending champion Arroyo 8-0 at home Tuesday behind two RBIs apiece from Johnny Moreno and Lorenzo Mena along with a complete game one hit shutout by Angel Acosta (his sixth of this season).
Lopez, South, Slow Down Gabrielino
By George Hernandez (South El Monte)- Mario Lopez fired a complete game and South El Monte jumped out to a 4-0 lead before holding on to beat first place Gabrielino 4-2 Friday in Mission Valley League action.

(El Monte) – Francisco Gonzalez had four hits and four runs batted in to lead Gabrielino to a 7-0 shutout over Arroyo Friday. The Eagles remain in control in the Mission Valley League with and 8-1 record. They are 10-7 overall.
Acosta No Hits Arroyo
(San Gabriel) – Angel Acosta fired a no hitter and Gabrielino got the only run it needed in the fourth inning to beat Arroyo 1-0 Wednesday in Mission Valley League action.
