Game Night Southeast Division: Week Seven

By Tim Peterson All games are at 7:00 pm unless otherwise indicated

The Peterson Principle: 10/13/14

By Tim Peterson I owe several apologies after last week. I’m glad betting high school football is illegal. I would have lost my shirt. I’ve missed on my picks before but this week was over the top. The sorry list is long so here we go…

Top Ten: Southeast Division (10/12/2014)

By Tim Peterson Lots of changes this week as La Serna, Lynwood, and Bellflower all go down. El Rancho and Downey both make the leap into the Top 10 with big victories. St. Paul beat La Salle? What the? The Swordsmen aren’t in the Top 10 but they are in the mix.

El Rancho Passes over La Serna

Andrew Perea threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns to lead El Rancho to a 42-35 win over La Serna Friday night at Don Memorial Stadium.  The Dons survived  a 100-yard interception return by La Serna’s Anthony Garcia on the last play of the first half that put La Serna up 28-21.

Cougars Humble Humboldt 55-21

By Tim Peterson (Glendora)- Terrell Watson rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns to lead Azusa Pacific to a 55-21 rout of Humboldt State Thursday night at Citrus College. The Cougars fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter but scored 34 consecutive points and cruised to the win.

Game Night Southeast Division: Week Six

By Tim Peterson All games are at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated

The Peterson Principle: 10/6/14

By Tim Peterson Don’t be fooled by the final score. La Mirada didn’t mess around with Bellflower. This was domination in every sense of the word. The Matadores were bigger, stronger and definitely much faster. Tony Brown is every bit as advertised.

Top Ten: Southeast Division (10/5/2014)

By Tim Peterson St. Franks, Cathedral, Crescenta Valley and Lynwood are all still unbeaten. Can anybody run the table? CV really has only one hurdle to clear with Muir. La Serna looks like a lock in the Del Rio and has yet to play a game. Who’s second best in the Suburban?
