Brown Delivers for La Mirada
By Tim Peterson (Bellflower) – Tony Brown scored on a 71-yard pass and an 80-yard fumble return and Sei-J Lauago scored a pair of touchdowns to lead La Mirada to a 40-20 rout of Bellflower Friday night at Ron Yary Field.

Bellflower and Crescenta Valley, also undefeated, could be on the verge of something big. Nobody has beaten Lynwood; yes we finally noticed.
Cougars Seal it in Fourth, 42-23
By Tim Peterson (St. George, UT) – Azusa Pacific scored 21 consecutive points, including 14 in the fourth quarter to beat Dixie State Saturday 42-23 night at Hansen Stadium in St. George, Utah. Terrell Watson scored three touchdowns and Chad Jeffries scored twice on the ground to lead the way.
Falcons Cruise by Indians
By Tim Peterson (Glendale) -Jonathan Jun ran for 183 yards and four touchdowns and Brian Gadsby threw for three scores to lead Crescenta Valley to a 48-21 win over Burroughs Friday night at Moyse Field.
Tartans Turn the Tables on Chargers
By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Glendora overcame an 11 point deficit in the fourth quarter to knock off Charter Oak 38-37 Thursday night in a Central Division clash. The Chargers seemed to be in control but inexplicably turned the ball over on each of its last two possessions and the Tartans took advantage to win it.

Monrovia didn’t lose the game Friday night. St. Francis won it. The Golden Knights took it. When big plays needed to be made, it was St. Francis that made them. The Golden Knights were bigger, deeper, stronger and ultimately better.
