By Corey Kwok (Keppel HS) – The Keppel girls out rebounded Montebello 45-27 and nabbed 23 steals on the way to a 61-33 rout of the Lady Oilers Tuesday in Almont League action.

Oilers Too Slick for Aztecs

By Corey Kwok (Keppel HS) – Daniel Flores’ 14 footer with 8 seconds left in overtime lifted CIF Division 1AA’s ninth ranked Montebello to a 60-59 win over Keppel Tuesday night. Montebello improved to 20-1 overall and 3-0 in Almont League play while Keppel dropped to 15-4 and 2-1.

Lady Huskies Rally to Beat West Covina

By Corey Kwok (West Covina) – The Lady Huskies trailed 30-16 two minutes into the third quarter but went on a 9-0 run to cut the lead to five. South Hills then rallied in the fourth to pull out a 49-47 win over West Covina Wednesday in San Antonio League action.

Huskies run over the WC

By Corey Kwok (West Covina) – South Hills opened up San Antonio league play by dominating from the opening tap to the final buzzer in a 64-37 rout of West Covina Wednesday night. The Huskies ruled the boards as well out rebounding the Bulldogs 43-24.
