Fulbright Leads Whittier Christian over Baldwin Park

By Saile Ramirez (Whittier) – Garrett Fulbright ran for three touchdowns to lead Whittier Christian to a 27-17 victory over Baldwin Park Friday night to advance to the CIF SS Mid-Valley Division Semi-Finals. 

Roosevelt Stumbles, 24-7

By Corey Kwok  (Boyle Heights) – Momentum killing penalties, missed opportunities, and turnovers proved costly for Roosevelt as Fairfax raced to a 17-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 24-7 win Wednesday night at Roosevelt High. With the victory Fairfax advanced to the LA City Section Division II Playoff Semi Finals.  

Huskies’ Shirley Probable for Crescenta Valley

South Hills’ quarterback Jacob Shirley, who missed the first round playoff win over Bonita with an injury, is expected to play Friday night against Crescenta Valley. Shirley, who has been instrumental in the Huskies’ San Antonio League title, sprained his MCL in practice the week of the playoff game.

Mid-Valley Division Elite Eight

  Here are the eight teams left in the playoffs and where we think they should be ranked. M-Town is the clear cut number one but after that there is plenty of room for argument.   

South Hills Edges Bonita
