4. 2012 Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey is traded from the Mets to the Toronto Blue Jays.

5. Temple City’s Eric Olivas is averaging 18 points per game.

6. Babe Ruth’s 1930 salary of $80,000 would be worth $1.1 million today after inflation. That’s only about  one-third of the $3.2 million average player salary today in Major League Baseball.

7. Kyle MacKinnon, son of former Arroyo HC D.J. MacKinnon, is current playing minor league hockey in the Boston Bruins organization.
