1.) Southern Utah quarterback, former ELAC and Schurr alum Aaron Cantu turns 22 today.

3.) On this date in 1981 the Red Sox traded Fred Lynn to the Angels for Frank Tanana and Joe Rudi

4.) “Happy MLK Day! Most people celebrated by taking the day off of work. Except for the Indianapolis Colts, who did that yesterday.”—Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 19th.

5.) Chino Cowboys HC Jim Baty resigned on January 15th after two seasons and a 10-11 record. He wants to devote more time to his family.

7.) On this date in 1953 the Dallas Texans become the Baltimore Colts (now Indianapolis Colts)

8.) In regards to studs: El Monte wide receiver Fernando Espinoza in 2014: 61 catches, 960 yards, 15.7 per catch, ten touchdowns. 32 tackles, two interceptions = STUD (see Azusa HC Joe Scherf)
