Let the bidding begin! Burbank Viking Iron Man Matt Fruchey starts high school next fall, but where? Burbank or Burroughs?

“I bet those fools are out there!”

— Citizen Keenan

Good Evening!

All Mid Valley thanks and Christmas well wishes to TC HC Anthony White and Jim “His Arroyo Baldness” Singiser for keeping the “Mid Valley Classic” in place…

Although Arroyo has added a Zero Week match against Ontario and will play La Canada in Week Five after a bye…

JoeStaDamus Prediction: Arroyo’s Mike Vasquez goes for 1,500-yards and All-CIF in 2010… However, if something happens (please Lord no) to Steven Rivera then the Knights are going to need 2,000-yards out of their best back in a decade.

“Character really made the difference for us this year,” said San Dimas HC Bill Zernickow one week after leading the Saints to their first CIF Title.

Note to Coach Z & The Saints: What have you done for me lately? Let’s go! Lifting starts January 4th…

Is it wrong of me to say Marvadene Anderson’s parents should have offered her some coffee when she was younger? The 16-year old is currently 6’11” and playing pretty good  basketball at Rutgers Prep in New Jersey…

This just in: Matt Koffler is not interested in the opening at Nogales…

I think next year in fantasy football…provided I play because I currently hate it…I’m gonna demand Joshua Cribbs…But return yardage has to count…

Truly, Josh Lowden being named Mid-Valley Defensive Player of the Year was expected…but what I want to know is; was it unanimous? And if it wasn’t unanimous who voted with a clear conscience against him?

I was asked at the store the other night by Ernie, a loyal long time Fanview reader, who I liked in the state championship games… Is it safe to use the expression; BORING!

I’m about as interested in pre-selected state championship football games as I am the WNBA or the next NASCAR event…It’s a yawning festival…

Bruce Allen becoming GM for the Washington Redskins is a natural fit…Mike Shanahan goes to Washington in January…and Jim Zorn adds to the unemployment stats…

…Oh…If only Adam Schiff could join the ranks of the unemployed…Then we’d have something…

I admit, for the first time in my entire life I was rooting for the Dallas Cowboys as they were in the process of beating the New Orleans Saints Saturday night…”How ‘Bout Them Cowboys!”

Matt Fruchey, son of former Mid Valley staffer Rick Fruchey, starred for the Burbank Vikings this fall and won the “Iron Man” award. Question is where will he play running back? Burroughs or Burbank?

The old man played at B-Bank…

Last Add Lowden: Look for the M-Town linebacker as a guest host on an upcoming “Mid Valley Sports Show”…

I marvel at how the television networks won’t show planes flying into the World Trade buildings on 911…and if they do show it, it always seems to be with a disclaimer/warning “What you are about to see is disturbing”…But ESPN didn’t hesitate at all to show Joe Theisman’s 1985 career ending broken leg prior the Giants-Redskins Monday night.

Funny, but we’ve been asked to run a disclaimer/warning “What your are about to see is disturbing” when Villathedevil comes on the air…

…With that said, he’s been doing an excellent jobs at the basketball tournaments for us…

Note to the Loyal Mid Valley (all 12 of you): Our all Mid-Valley, Southeast, and Old School Mid Valley teams will be coming out next week. When we pick a team, there is no second team, no third team, or honorable mention. Our selection process is a war amongst the staff…Bad News Barker and I have been at odds each of the last two years over players and thanks to a lack of support from His Arroyo Baldness and The Piper…I’ve lost.

Simply put, we take it seriously…and will accept the heat.

Stay thirsty my friends…
