I remember coaching against him in the first round when he was at Maranatha.
Congrats to the young man for having a great career and getting his degree at APU. But just like Terrell Watson before him, no matter the greatness at a D2 college. He will be no more than a FA camp invite.
Elffers has had the intangibles to be an NFL QB since he was tearing it up at Marantha his sophomore year of high school. No doubt in my mind that if he hadn’t gotten hurt his senior year that he could’ve gone to a bigger school than APU (though as an alum I’m glad to see he balled out playing for the Cougars). Hope somebody takes a chance on him at the pro level. He’s a great QB.
