By Tim Peterson (Chatsworth) – Sierra Canyon running back Bobby Cole committed to Boise State it was announced on the Sierra Canyon Football Twitter page Wednesday.
Offensive Coordinator of the Year: Mark Serve’ – Sierra Canyon
Sierra Canyon scored 590 points on the season – an average of over 36 points per game. The Trailblazers racked up 50 points in a game on four different occasions and over 60 once.
Player of the Year: RB Bobby Cole – Sierra Canyon
Bobby Cole’s numbers in 2016 were too big to ignore – 2,380 yards, 34 touchdowns, 8.3 yards per carry. And when the games were the biggest for Sierra Canyon, Cole came up huge.

By Tim Peterson So apparently the requirement to step down as head coach is your team has to lose in the CIF Finals. Dale Ziola of Los Altos, Mike Moschetti at La Mirada and Burbank’s Richard Broussard all fell in the final game and resigned the next week.

Blazing a Trail to the Finals
By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Sierra Canyon broke open a close game to outscore Charter Oak 21-0 in the fourth quarter and went on to beat the Chargers 42-19 Friday night and advance to the CIF Division 4 Finals.

Titans Leave Sierra Canyon in State of Shock
By Tim Peterson (San Marino) – San Marino rallied from a three touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter to stun Sierra Canyon 36-35 Saturday night in the CIF Open Division State Bowl. And the Titans did it all without their starting quarterback, Carson Glazier, who was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with an injury.
