Schurr is Second at Duarte Tourney

By Tim Peterson (Duarte) – Schurr advanced all the way to the Championship game of the Duarte Tournament before falling to Mary Star of the Sea 3-0 Saturday in the Final. The Spartans knocked off Whittier on a walk off home run by Karen Roman Thursday night to earn a spot in the title game.

Galaxy Puts Out Fire in Opener

The Galaxy put on a dominating performance, scoring twice in second half to beat the Chicago Fire 2-0 Friday night before a sold out crowd of 27, 000 at StubHub Center in the MLS opener.

Maranatha-Campbell Hall Final at Azusa Pacific
