Ackerman Takes Over at Bell Gardens
(Bell Gardens) – Geoff Ackerman, who was the defensive coordinator at Schurr last year, has been named the new head coach at Bell Gardens. Ackerman takes over for David Ramos, who departed after 13 years as HC earlier this month.
Sanchez and Sanchez to Coach Hall of Fame Game
Gladstone’s Albert Sanchez (East) and Joel Sanchez of El Monte (West) have been named the head coaches for the Hall of Fame All-Star Game scheduled for May 17 at West Covina High.

(Covina) – Covina ran its league record to 7-0 while running Northview out of the gym in a 66-46 rout of the Vikings Wednesday night in Valle Vista action.
Albert “Rhino” Perez Verbals Wyoming
Former Schurr center Albert “Rhino” Perez verbally committed to Wyoming. It was confirmed Tuesday. The 6-1 285 pound Perez will sign with the Cowboys on February 6.
