A new season is upon us with excitement on all parts of the Valley. Huge change to possibly help the batter with the circle moving back three feet from the 40 foot mark.

Huskies Heroine Drives Team to Finals

By Tony Solorzano (Covina, CA) – Sophomore pitcher Sydney La Follette not only threw a complete game Tuesday in South Hills’ 3-1 victory over La Canada but also drove home the tying and winning runs en route to a berth in the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs Tuesday at South Hills High.

Lady Spartans Keep Pace in Rio Hondo Title Race

(Monrovia)  – La Canada knew going into today’s game that any loss would damage their chances of winning the Rio Hondo League title this season to San Marino. The Lady Spartans (19-4) didn’t stumble at all as they shook off the loss on Friday to the Titans with a pivotal victory over Monrovia, 7-0.

High School Softball Area Top 20

Most of the Top 20 remained unchanged as the schools had their Spring Break.  Some teams did find their way up, while some dropped down after lackluster performances. Schurr and San Dimas return to the Top 20 and Los Altos and Maranatha head out after going 0 for the week in wins.
