By Tim Peterson I said it on draft day and I’ll say it again. The Lakers missed it when they passed on Jahlil Okafor. They drafted D’Angelo Russell not only because they liked his game but also with the thought that something else was coming – namely a big man.

Galaxy’s Donovan to Retire After Season

Landon Donovan of the LA Galaxy has announced that he will retire after the current MLS season. Donovan is the top scorer in both national team and MLS history and also earned All-Star Game MVP honors on Wednesday night.

I actually tried to jump on the bandwagon. I tried real hard. With all of the excitement being generated lately about the World Cup I tuned into the game Sunday between the United States and Portugal. Portugal even had a guy I had heard of in Christiano Ronaldo.
