La Mirada Reigns in Southeast
By Tim Peterson (La Mirada) – The last few years have ended in disappointment for La Mirada. Last year’s first round playoff loss to Salesian especially left a bad taste in their mouths. This year the Matadores made sure that didn’t happen with a convincing 45-20 win over La Serna Saturday night to capture the Southeast Division title.
Sierra Canyon Blanks San Dimas; Captures Mid-Valley Title
By Tim Peterson (San Dimas) – Sierra Canyon went up 14-0 in the first quarter and went on to shut out San Dimas 20-0 at San Dimas High Friday night to capture the CIF Mid-Valley Division Championship.

La Serna Slugs St. Francis in Second Half
By Tim Peterson (La Canada) – La Serna shut out St. Francis in the second quarter and scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to knock out the Golden Knights 24-10 Friday night at Friedman Field. With the victory the Lancers advanced to the CIF Southeast Finals for the fourth time in five years.
