The Peterson Principle: 4/6/2015

By Tim Peterson I’m still waiting for word out of Norwalk. There has been no announcement on who will replace Jesse Ceniceros who stepped down to take the head coaching job at Chino.

Quarterbacks of the MVL

These Mission Valley League quarterbacks aren’t in any ranking order or listed by ability or talent. It is an interesting group however. Some are returning and some aren’t. Some have received a lot of ink already this summer while others haven’t caused a blip. Here we go:

Last Throw at Arroyo Before Dead

(El Monte) – Whittier Christian, Northview, and San Gabriel joined Arroyo for one last throw Thursday before the dead period begins for the next few weeks.

Four Fling it at Arroyo

(El Monte) – Arroyo geared up for its biggest event of the summer – Saturday’s SGV Shootout- by hosting a four-way throw Thursday. Arcadia, Bassett and Schurr joined the Knights to toss it around.

Arroyo, Keppel, Workman…in June

(El Monte) – Arroyo, Keppel and Workman threw the ball around out behind B.L. Bergstron Stadium Thursday. How did they look? Not bad but doesn’t everybody in June? Hey it was more fun then staying home and watching the Heat and Spurs.

“Walk on your tip toes…Don’t try, ‘No Doz’ Better stay away from those…That carry around a fire hose Keep a clean nose…Watch the plain clothes You don’t need a weather man…To know which way the wind blows.”—Bob Dylan Kick it! Oh, I’ve alway been a UConn fan!

Arroyo-Rosemead…in May

Arroyo and Rosemead renewed old acquaintances Saturday at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium. The Panthers and the Knights have been butting heads for decades in what is the best rivalry in the Mission Valley League but this wasn’t quite as intense as a Friday night clash in October.
