Nothing Across for Galaxy, Vancouver

They both had their opportunities but in the end neither the Galaxy or the Vancouver Whitecaps could cash in and had to settle for a 0-0 tie Saturday night before a sold out crowd of 25,667 at StubHub Center.

By Tim Peterson (Los Angeles) – USC Coach Clay Helton named Max Browne the starting quarterback Saturday afternoon. Browne, a redshirt junior, had the edge coming into training camp but he was pressed the least few weeks by redshirt freshman Sam Darnold.

(Arcadia) – Arcadia and San Marino scrimmaged Friday at Arcadia as they continue to get ready to kick things off for real next week. The Apaches held the Titans scoreless while finding the end zone three times themselves on two deep balls and a long break away run.
