Game Night Southeast Division: Week One

By Tim Peterson All games begin at 7:00 pm unless otherwise indicated Thursday September 4

Top Ten: Northwest Division

We’ll just call this a fluid situation. I do not expect Mission Prep to be on the outside looking in for long. Big Bear is good and so is Nipomo, but be sure to keep an eye on Cantwell which opens play this week. For now Caleb Devine was awesome, and Natha is number one.

Top Ten: Mid Valley Division

First poll of the year: Sierra Canyon looks like they are on the road to get back to where they were in 2011 when they won the division and state titles. Two of the other top contenders in San Dimas and Paraclete both stumbled out of the gate against strong opponents. Azusa and Bell Gardens […]

Top Ten: Central Division

With the zero week games now in the books, is it fair to believe that Diamond Bar and Diamond Ranch are contenders after overwhelming their Mid-Valley opponents? Will Alta Loma be better off by dropping a few pegs in the Division rung? Do the Rio Hondo teams have a punchers chance in the Central Division?

Panthers Too Much for Tigers

by Andy Villanueva (Pasadena) – What started out like a dream for Bosco Tech turned into a nightmare just as quickly as they started their 2014 season with a 63-0 loss to Pasadena Poly.

Braves Last Team Standing

This one had a little bit of everything. There were 63 points, seven turnovers, eight lead changes and more flags flown than on the Fourth of July. When the dust settled Baldwin Park emerged with a 33-30 win over El Monte Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Wildcats Need Overtime to Beat Saints

(San Dimas) After going down 17-0 in the first half, the Monrovia Wildcats came back to score 17 unanswered of their own in the second half then outscore the San Dimas Saints 7-6 in overtime to win 24-23 Friday night giving Chris Stevens his first win at the helm in Monrovia.
