By Tim Peterson (Montebello) – Schurr quarterback Adam Polanco has transferred to Garfield multiple sources have confirmed. Polanco threw for 872 yards and nine touchdowns in nine games as a freshman last year.

I’m hearing a lot of good things out of Covina. They have a quarterback and although Joe Benavidez is not the returning starter he’s looked great in the summer. All of the key skill players other than QB Darren Torres are back for the Colts.

Four Fling it at Arroyo

(El Monte) – Arroyo geared up for its biggest event of the summer – Saturday’s SGV Shootout- by hosting a four-way throw Thursday. Arcadia, Bassett and Schurr joined the Knights to toss it around.

(Whittier)- The LA KISS held open tryouts Sunday at Whittier College. Over 75 players showed up in all from California and other places. The Players participated in various drills including the 40 yard dash, shuttle drills, linemen competition and passing and receiving skills.
