What do we know 17 days before the high school football season kicks off? Well we write stories, talk to coaches, and post videos weeks and even months prior to opening night but we still don’t know everything.
South Pas Joins Four-way at Arroyo
(El Monte) – I got a look at South Pasadena Tuesday at a four way toss at Arroyo along with Arcadia and Los Altos. Don’t worry, I’m not going to go all street rat crazy on you and proclaim the Tigers will win the Rio Hondo and make a deep playoff run.
Aztecs are Last Team Standing
(Covina) – Azusa probably wasn’t the team most people picked to win the SGV Shootout when the 18 team bracket was announced. But after knocking off Mid Valley Division contenders Whittier Christian in the semis and Monrovia in the Finals, The Aztecs were the champions of the Tournament Saturday at Gladstone High School.

Four Throw at Arroyo
(El Monte) – Arroyo hosted a four way toss Thursday afternoon with Arcadia, West Covina and Gladstone joining them at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium. Just in case you’ve been in cave for the last couple of years, I’ll clue you in. Steven Rivera can throw the ball.
