Mid-Valley Division Defensive Coordinator of The Year 2014: Sierra Canyon’s Michael Gonzaga
In terms of location, Sierra Canyon is right out there on the fringe of the Mid-Valley Division universe along with Paraclete. Because few get to see them in the San Gabriel Valley they fail to recognize how good this program is and how great this defense was in 2014.
Mid-Valley Division Offensive Coordinator of the Year 2014: Pomona’s Leonard Hudson
637 points, 90 touchdowns, and close to 400 yards per game. The Pomona offensive numbers in 2014 stand out like a neon sign. The Red Devils scored over 50 points in seven different games this season including over 70 on two occasions.
Central Division Defensive Coordinator of The Year 2014: Glendora’s Greg Vaniman
If Glendora doesn’t lose quarterback Matt Fink late in the season to an injury the Tartans 2014 season would definitely read differently. As it is they went 9-3 with a second round bow out to eventual Central champion Colony.
Central Division Offensive Coordinator of The Year 2014: San Marino’s Mike Hobbie
It’s no surprise seeing the San Marino Titans excel on offense. In the Mike Hobbie era it is a given that they are going to do something special. From Matt Wofford to Andrew Ferraco, to Carson Glazier this offense has been machine like.
Northwest Division Offensive Coordinator of The Year 2014: Arrowhead Christian’s Calan Landreth
The only thing Arrowhead Christian didn’t do in 2014 was beat Nipomo (and Linfield Christian), but the Eagles did everything else on the way to a 12-2 record and birth in the Northwest Division finals. The defensive did its job, but the offense exploded.
Southeast Division Offensive Coordinator of The Year 2014: Crescenta Valley’s Hudson Gossard
Sometimes watching Crescenta Valley OC Hudson Gossard work a sideline is as entertaining as watching the Falcon offense itself. He runs, he jumps and twists and turns. He yells, he screams, and he encourages, but most of all he coaches. And in the end he made the CV offense the most explosive in the Southeast Division.
Northwest Division Newcomer of The Year 2014: Whittier Christian’s Justin Osborn
For Whittier Christian fans if somebody wanted to take a lock box, put the 2014 football season inside it, and drop into to some deep recess of the Pacific Ocean it would fine with them except for the performance of sophomore running back Justin Osborn
Southeast Newcomer of The Year 2014: Cathedral’s Andrew Tovar
Andrew Tovar didn’t think his chance would come at Cathedral until 2015. The Phantoms already had a quarterback in MC Poe who had thrown for over 1400 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2013 and was coming back for his senior season. But Poe transferred out of state and Tovar was suddenly thrust into the spotlight and given his time to […]
