La Puente Puts Away Arroyo
(El Monte) – Ruben Elias rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns and La Puente outscored Arroyo 13-0 in the fourth quarter to finish off the Knights 35-20 Friday night at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium.
Lions Hold off Colts
(Covina) – Brandon Martinez threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more and Josh Wu intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter as El Monte held off Covina 30-28 Thursday night at Covina District Field.
