Kick it! I believe a few apologies are in order…Last Friday I rolled into the Mt. View Alumni football fundraiser. I took pictures, spoke with a few players, and then left before tacos were served.

Wow! Alert the media. Sound the alarm! The Dodgers just scored a run… You knew the Dodgers offense would struggle without Matt Kemp in the lineup but did anybody predict this bad? This is a slump of epic proportions.

Do they play the high school baseball All-Star game in October? Or the basketball All-Star game in August? What would happen if they did? I’ll tell you what would happen. It wouldn’t work.

When I see those guys peddling tickets on Stadium Way while I’m driving into the Dodger game a thought always enters my head. It might not be cool but it would be funny and it might teach these guys to get real jobs.

The Peterson Principle 5/28/12

If you look at the Southeast Division, you’re looking at West Covina aren’t you? The Bulldogs have won two straight CIF titles and there hasn’t been much of a drop off in talent. Lately for West Co, as it is for Monrovia in the Mid-Valley, it’s not a case of rebuilding but reloading.

Would it be a stretch to say Arcadia in the Pacific?  The league is in flux. Burbank and Crescenta Valley have lost a lot of players to graduation, as did Pasadena. The Bulldogs have Brandon Cox, the best quarterback in the league, but does he have enough around him?
