Raider Nation Gets Ready for 2012

Apaches Are up and Running
(Arcadia) – Arcadia returned from the dead period and put on the pads for the first time on Wednesday. The Apaches have always been long on skill players and this year should be no exception. Transfer Joey Harmon and Zach Yee are both getting extended time at quarterback.
Rams Put on the Pads
(Temple City) – They’re coming off a season in which they finished 1-9. They’re playing in the same league as the two time defending Mid-Valley Division champions. They didn’t win their first game until the last game of the season. So it’s safe to say that the Temple City Rams are uh…flying under the radar coming in to 2012.
McClain Enrolls at Maranatha
(Pasadena) – Logan McClain, who spent last season at Blair, has enrolled at Maranatha and will begin practice Monday Maranatha HC Pete Karavedas confirmed Friday night.

I’m not sure what that was. It certainly wasn’t an opening ceremonies for an Olympic games was it? If you didn’t know better you would think you were watching the beginning of a Broadway musical or some type of promotion for a Disney movie.

Most of the schools are on dead period which explains why I saw Arcadia Assistant Coach Eric Elias on the golf course Saturday afternoon. “What? Are the Mid Valley guys out here playing for money?” Elias laughed.
