Gabrielino in Control of MVL

(El Monte) – Francisco Gonzalez had four hits and four runs batted in to lead Gabrielino to a 7-0 shutout over Arroyo Friday. The Eagles remain in control in the Mission Valley League with and 8-1 record. They are 10-7 overall.

It looks like they’re out of options. Well I guess there is one. When Arroyo Coach Jim Singiser was asked if he had any other options now that CIF has denied the MVL appeal on the new Division playoff grouping proposals he had one, “Yeah. Get better!” he said.

Mid Valley Baseball Top 20

Bonita wins the Arcadia Invitational while Mayfair competes at St. Paul. Alhambra hit a bump in the Almont road while Monrovia looks like the best team in the Rio Hondo. Temple City took a road trip to Vegas but we’re not sure how the Rams fared since what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Paramo and Panthers in April

(Rosemead) – “Championships aren’t won in November and December, they’re won now!” First year Rosemead Coach Marc Paramo barked at his team while running them through a late Wednesday workout. While getting in some physical drills Paramo made sure they got plenty of verbal motivation as well.

Rosemead, Arroyo, Fall in Second Round
