West Covina Wins Shootout

(El Monte) – West Covina beat Northview 30-18 to win the SGV Shootout at Arroyo Saturday. The Bulldogs, not traditionally a passing team, knocked off Monrovia in the semi finals before dispatching of Northview. Monrovia beat Whittier Christian in the consolation game.

Less than two weeks and counting…this Friday night there will be numerous scrimmages through out the area and then the following Thursday (September 1), the high school football season kicks off.

It’s April and the biggest high school track meet in the nation took place in Arcadia. The Dodgers are still trying to solve their security issues while the Lakers, losers of five straight, are trying to solve their issues on the court.
