Cougars See Humboldt State Put on a Sixties Show

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Humboldt State jumped out to a 35-6 halftime lead and never looked back in a 62-41 rout of Azusa Pacific Saturday night in the Cougars home opener at Citrus College.

Deshawn Potts graduated, and Miles Bryant transferred to St. Francis. Ryan Maddox retired as did a majority of the coaching staff. With Kurt Scoby also graduating in June Monrovia suddenly had several issues to address.

The Chris Stevens Era Begins at Monrovia

(Monrovia) – Monrovia lost running back Kurt Scoby to graduation, the projected starter at quarterback transferred to St. Francis and the Wildcats were moved to the Central Divsion where they will have to contend with the likes of teams in the Mt. Baldy, Palomares and Hacienda Leagues. But for new Monrovia head coach Chris Stevens it’s a great opportunity.
